Captain Ryan's Super Duper Potty Mission printable reward chart with five potty steps and a weekly sticker grid

What's on the chart

The chart breaks potty training into five small wins across a Monday-to-Sunday grid, so your toddler can tick off progress even on the days that do not go perfectly.

  • I sat on the potty
  • I did a pee in the potty
  • I did a poop in the potty
  • I wiped like a big kid
  • I washed my hands

There is a space for your child's name, a "My Rewards" panel for 5, 10 and 15 stars, and a little encouragement from Captain Ryan himself.

How to use it

  1. Step 1

    Print it out

Download the PDF and print one page on plain A4 or US Letter paper. Colour printing looks best, but black and white works too.

  2. Step 2

Put your child's name on it

Let your toddler write or decorate their own name at the top. Owning the chart is half the motivation.

  3. Step 3

Stick it where they can reach

Tape it to the bathroom wall at toddler height so they can add a sticker the moment the mission is complete.

  4. Step 4

    Reward the trying

Fill in the three reward boxes together — 5, 10 and 15 stars. Small, immediate rewards beat big distant ones.

The story behind the chart

Meet Captain Ryan

This chart is inspired by Captain Ryan and His Super-Duper Potty Mission, a picture book that turns a nervous milestone into a brave little adventure. Read the story at bedtime, then use the chart during the day — the same words, the same hero, the same encouragement.

Potty chart questions parents ask

Is the potty training chart really free?
Yes. The PDF downloads instantly with no email address, sign-up or payment. It is free for personal and classroom use.
What age is a potty reward chart best for?
Most children are ready somewhere between 2 and 4 years old. The chart uses pictures rather than words, so a toddler who cannot read yet can still follow it.
How many stickers should each step earn?
One sticker per completed step per day keeps it simple. Reward at 5, 10 and 15 stars so success feels reachable in the first few days.
What if my toddler has an accident?
Leave the square blank and move on without fuss. The chart is there to celebrate trying — accidents are part of the mission, not a failure.
