About this activity
Sharing is not a rule small children absorb from being told. It lands when they can see what generosity builds. This sheet starts as a bare baobab and fills with leaves, one for every time your child shares.
It grows straight out of The Little Baobab That Refused to Share, where a very proud tree discovers that keeping everything to yourself is a lonely way to live.

How to use it
- Step 1
Print and name it
Let your child write their name at the top and choose the colours their tree will grow.
- Step 2
One leaf, one share
Snacks, toys, turns, space on the sofa — anything shared counts. Colour it in together.
- Step 3
Say what you noticed
Describe the act rather than praising the child: 'you gave Amara the last one' lands harder than 'good girl'.
- Step 4
Celebrate the full tree
When every leaf is coloured, read the baobab story again and talk about how the tree changed.
